Miles Scientific's saturation pads are the industry's preferred choice for chromatography. They offer ample surface area, facilitating rapid vapor saturation of TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) chambers. Most published TLC separations are conducted under saturated chamber conditions to ensure even solvent migration. Additionally, having strategically placed pads saturated with mobile phase in the developing chamber ensures rapid and uniform saturation of the entire atmosphere with solvent vapor, minimizing edge effects observed in non-saturated chambers. Each box contains 100 saturation pads.
